President's Message, Spring 2010

Snow shovels and winter boots certainly got a lot of use this winter. As you pack away the heavy sweaters and look for shorts and sandals, I'd like to update you on what's happening at Marshall Mechanical. Since my last "President's Message," we have expanded to include a total of 10 trucks on the road, an additional commercial service tech, and a commercial HVAC and plumbing estimator.

We are grateful for our residential customers and are proud of the fact that 90% of you have been with us since the beginning. You may know us only for residential, but Marshall has always done commercial service, too. We've expanded on that front to include commercial special projects construction, such as the Richmond Triangle Players Theater, the TRY-ME Art Warehouse, the University of Mary Washington's Klein Theater renovation and the Ford Fire Station — just to name a few.

I still believe very strongly in training and all of our technicians and installers received continuing education this year. We have two techs who are finishing the first year of HVAC technical school and another who is completing his second year. Mike Smith and I were recently certified as IGSHPA geothermal loop designers.

At Marshall Mechanical, we are continuously focusing on improving ourselves as well as our community through creating a sustainable environment by using the most efficient and up-to-date systems.
