Proper Care and Feeding of Your Garbage Disposal

To take good care of your garbage disposal, be careful what you feed it.  Obviously, you don’t want metal utensils dropping down there.  You also don’t want to put things like coffee grounds, egg shells, excessive amounts of rice or cereal down your garbage disposal.  These items become bulky and bloated with water and can clog the disposal, your drains, and your dishwasher if it drains through the sink.
