Virginia requires that the backflow prevention assembly be inspected annually by a certified plumbing professional.
Chesterfield County requires that the homeowner submit a Backflow Prevention Assembly Test Report to them every year, which has been completed by a certified plumbing professional. Richmond City and other counties will more than likely require the same inspection report as Chesterfield.
